Are your oils organic?
All of our oils are 100% pure and natural, of therapeutic grade and free
from any chemicals. While we do carry a select number of certified organic
products, we do not call ourselves an organic products supplier because
of the huge controversy over this issue. A large number of truly excellent
essential oils are produced in remote areas of countries where there are
no internationally recognized bodies or standards for organic certification.
We feel that it is unethical to sell such products as organic, at prices
currently charged by some companies.
How is it that
you sometimes carry more than one variety of an oil?
A good example is Lavender essential oil. There are over 35 varieties
that grow around the world. In such cases, we try to carry a high grade,
a medium grade and a low grade to suit the various requirements of our
customers. Lower grades are usually used in blends and in natural cosmetics.
Can
I use essential oils in massage?
Essential oils can produce remarkable therapeutic results when used with
massage. They have the ability to penetrate deeply into the skin tissues
and are then circulated throughout the entire body/mind system. Inhaling
the aromatic vapors also has an immediate and beneficial effect upon the
mind and emotions. For internal problems, massage the appropriate oil(s)
(diluted) over the affected area. Add 10-12 drops of the chosen essential
oil(s) per 1 ounce of massage oil (this is a 2% dilution). Use a 1% dilution
for children, elderly people, or those with sensitive skin.
When using essential
oils in a bath, will it dilute its effects?
Bathing with essential oils is a delightful experience for the body, mind,
and soul, and one of the most effective ways to benefit from Aroma therapy
treatment. In hot water, essential oils are readily absorbed into the
body tissues and the aromatic vapors inhaled. This benefits the entire
body/mind system. After the tub is filled, mix 3-8 drops of the chosen
essential oil(s) into the water. Breathe deeply, relax and forget your
cares !!!! For dry or sensitive skin, dilute essential oil(s) into one
tablespoon vegetable oil before adding to bath. When bathing young children,
or using essential oils which can irritate the skin, use less essential
oil (2-3 drops) and always dilute in (We recommend) Sesame Oil Natural,
Grape Seed, Avocado, Hemp, or Coco oil.
Is inhalation
the best use of essential oils?
The easiest way to obtain and enjoy the benefits of essential oils to
simply inhale their aromatic fragrance directly from the bottle. Try a
few drops on a tissue or handkerchief to carry with you to inhale through
the day, or on your pillow at night.
Do I really
need an Aromatic Diffuser?
There are a variety of diffusers available which effectively vaporize
and disperse essential oils directly into the air. These devices are an
excellent way to refresh the air, kill airborne bacteria, promote and
emotional health, and create various moods within your home and office
environment. We recommend our Aspen Earth® Diffusers for optimum results.
How do I make a Spray
Mist or Air Refresher?
Mix 10-20 drops of your favorite essential oil(s) into a spray bottle
with purified water (shake well before each use). Use spray mists to purify
and refresh your home, office, and your auric energy field. Lavender,
Pine, and all of the citrus oils are particularly uplifting and refreshing.
Juniper, Lavender, Peppermint, and Rosemary are excellent for clearing
negative energies. Eucalyptus, Lavender, Rosemary, and Tea Tree are powerful
antiseptic oils for eliminating airborne bacteria during illness.
Can essential
oils be used for skin care?
Essential oils easily penetrate into the underlying layers of the skin
(dermis), promoting regeneration and rejuvenation of skin cells. They
can be added to your facial cleansers, toners, oils and lotions by mixing
10-15 drops total essential oil(s) per 1 ounce liquid (do not apply essential
oils directly to skin undiluted). You can also add essential oil(s) to
facial steams and saunas. Works great with Shea Butter or Coco Butter
pure.

Are essential
oils good for hair care?
Essential oils improve the health of the scalp, regulate oil secretion,
and strengthen and stimulate the roots of the hair. Geranium, Sandalwood,
and Ylang Ylang are suited for dry or damaged hair; mix 10-15 drops per
1 oz of jojoba oil and massage into scalp and hair (can leave in hair,
or apply heat for thirty minutes and shampoo). Rosemary, Cedar wood, Lavender,
and Clary Sage are suited for oily hair; mix 5-10 drops total into 16
oz warm water, use as final rinse after shampooing. Cedar wood, Clary
Sage, Rosemary, and Ylang Ylang stimulate hair growth. Cedar wood, Patchouli,
Rosemary, and Tea Tree help eliminate dandruff.
Can essential
oils be used as a perfume?
Use essential oils as a pure and simple alternative to synthetic commercial
perfumes which may contain harsh chemicals and animal products, and may
be tested on animals. Rub a drop of your favorite (non-irritating, non-photosensitive)
essential oil(s) onto your skin and enjoy their mood-enhancing, aromatic
qualities.
